Energy System: Mobility
Difficulty: Test
Intention:
Our ability to move efficiently (i.e. mobility) effects every other physical ability; strength, endurance, conditioning, and capacity will all be undermined if we are not familiar or efficient wit the movement we’re tasked with. Pick a difficulty movement and apply an accumulating structure to carry out until failure — e.g. “death by…”
Warm Up:
I don’t recall the specific warm up as I’m writing this retroactively. If I recall correctly, it was a few rounds of shadow boxing and bear crawls to get blood flowing and pre-fatigue the shoulders.
Work:
Death-by-Burpee:
- 0 seconds - 59 seconds: do 1 burpee
- 60 seconds - 2 min: do 2 burpees
- 2 min - 3 min: do 3 burpees
- 3 min - 4 min: do 4 burpees
- continue until you cannot complete the required reps within the minute.
