Review:

  • Difficulty (1-10): 9
  • Performance (1-10): 7
  • Mat Hours: 1.5
  • What worked well?
    • I’m still very good at attacking and defending the back in a Gi.
  • What didn’t work?
    • When passing I got swept and nearly choked (separately, though I gave up a sweep to avoid the choke), but it was because I leaned heavy into a cross grip under my chin. That isn’t possible or something you have to worry about in NoGi.
  • Plan for next time?
    • I want to continue to put more time in on the mats, so that will likely mean a regular Monday Gi class. However, it could also mean a Sunday open mat in Sandy Springs.
