Intention:
This is another Dan John classic. Like a lot of things, it can be as quick and simple or as hard and brutal as you’d like. The difficulty is going to be having the nuance to decide what’s right for you.
As with many team workouts, the dynamic is who is good at what parts, and hopefully the session is balanced. Here, my female partner was much more mobile than myself (better at crawls) and I handled the (especially larger) sandbag better.
Warm Up:
30 minutes light grappling.
Work:
Team of 2:
3 Rounds of 30 seconds each (6 minutes total):
- P1: Bear Crawls
- P2: Bear-Carry’s a Sandbag
Results:
Austin + Brittney: 2 rounds at 80#, one round at 40#
