Intention:

Hypoxic training illustrates one of the main reasons we respirate, both to clear CO2 and move O2 to the blood. The levers can be pulled hard either direction, we can overestimate our ability to work under the identified breathing conditions (limiting breaths, a certain cadence, or external device / mask) or our attention and ability to focus wanes.

Warm Up:

12” Step Up

  • 5 minutes (breathing through left nostril only)
  • Then, 5 minute (breathing through right nostril only)

Work:

Until Failure (unable to recover in specified number of breaths).

  • Tire Flip x 1
  • Recovery Breath x 1
  • Add one rep/breath per round.

Results:

Austin: 19 @ 19 minutes (failure due to inattention).
