Intention:

In this class Kyle emphasized long-chain or unconventional scrambles. While the positional focus was on butterfly / butter-half guard(s), the real point was applying our tried-and-true “first to score or submit” mini-game to more board positions or unconventional starting points. Typically we run this drill from the standing / neutral position. However, we can also work it from any guard or a “bad position.” Emphasis was also placed on controlling the spine and getting chest-to-chest (on top) or chest-to-back from anywhere.
