Energy System: Anaerobic Capacity

Difficulty: Development


Intention:

As mentioned earlier this week, my personal (technical) focus is going to be on guard passing for the next while; specifically loose / outside passing.

I feel like this area of my game is a bit under developed, and while I feel good about my close / heavy passing, I can struggle a bit with guys with longer legs and mobile hips.

Better guard passing, which can be thought of as an upper body attack, also sets up opportunities for lower body attacks (leg locks); which I’d greatly look forward to.

Warm Up:

  • 2 x 5 minute “creative” rounds

Work:

  • 4 x 5 minute “working” rounds
  • 1 x 5 minute “drilling” recap / troubleshoot round
