Overview:

Intention:
Today was a slightly slower “ADCC Prep” focusing mostly on positional sparring with some open competition rounds.
I sustain a freak rib injury, where my heart rate monitor slipped down below the tip of my ribs, then, with an opponent bodylocking me on the ground, had to flex to defend which cracked the cartilage. I don’t think it’s a serious break, but it’s going to be pretty sore for a few days.
Warm Up:
- 5 x 1 minutes: wrestling scrimmage for hip control
Work:
- 3 x 4 minutes (2 minute attacking, 2 minutes defending): positional sparring from 50/50
- 3 x 4 minutes (2 minutes top, 2 minutes bottom): achieve chest-to-chest or chest-to-back from closed guard.
- 2 x 4 minutes (2 minutes top, 2 minutes bottom): achieve chest-to-chest or chest-to-back from standing vs. seated.
- 3 x 6 minute: ADCC Rounds
