Overview:

  • Quarterly Goal: Compete at ADCC Open Atlanta
  • Monthly Focus: Wrestling to Leg Entanglements
  • Weekly Objective: Leg Pins and Attack Transitions

Intention:

Similar to yesterday, the pace was very light here, but Simon and I were working on heelhook escapes and attacks. That meant that strength and dexterity in our lower limbs was critical.

Again, HR wasn’t high enough to call this endurance, but it was still training. The pacing was very light, but we were really stressing the connective tissues and being very specific with constraints of very short scrimmages.


Warm Up:

  • Shoulder CARs, 2 x 3
  • Ankle CARs, 2 x 3
  • Knee CARs, 2 x 3

Work:

  • 30 minutes drilling and discussing tactics / strategy.

  • 3 sets of RIGHT

    • Attack and Defend each.
  • 3 sets of LEFT side:

    • Attack and Defend each.
  • Technical discussion between each round.
