Overview:
- 8-Week Focus: Compete at ADCC Open Atlanta
- Weekly Objective: Wrestling transitions to leglocks.
Intention:
Teaching Class - Today we focused on outside single leg takedowns with scrimmages and mini-games. The setup, next week, will be to connect last week’s leg locks with this week’s wrestling.
Warm Up:
- 5 x 1 minute: from standing, touch back of partner’s knee
- 5 x 1 minute: from standing, get partner’s hands on floor, or touch the back of their knee
- 3 x 2 minutes (1 minute each position): one partner tries to connect their hand around a leg, the other partner tries to connect their hands round partner’s waist or armpits (underhooks).
Work:
- ~15 minutes drilling each of the videos below.
- 3 x 5 minutes: positional rotation sparring: with pinch single lifted, A) get your foot to floor, B) put partner’s butt or back on the ground.
