  • Sleep Quantity (hours): 6.5
  • Sleep Quality (1-5): 3
  • Mood (1-5): 3
  • Soreness (1-5): 1

Training:

  • 15 minute warm up: various scrimmages for wrestling set-ups
    • Head > Hands > Armpits > Knees > Ankles
  • Q&A: Wrist-Roll High Crotch Takedown
  • Q&A: Countering Takedowns with Throws
  • Q&A: Arm-Drag Cross Ankle Pick
  • Q&A: Arm-Drag To Knee Pick (to armbar)
  • Q&A: Stance in Motion (down block, sprawl, shoot)

Review:

  • Difficulty (1-10): 5
  • Performance (1-10): 8
  • Mat Hours: 0.5
  • What worked well:
    • Overall everyone got a chance to ask a technical question and time to drill and work on that.
    • Personally, I feel like my creativity and mat-vision is really good right now, thanks to some (begrudging) poppy 2000s teen movie music keeping the mood light.
  • What didn’t work well:
    • My cold is getting better, but still hanging on.
  • Plan for next time:
    • I don’t have too much weight to cut, so I’ll continue my cold medicine, still eat dinner tonight, and not eat until after weight-ins tomorrow (no creatine until after weigh-ins, try to have bowel movement before evening weigh-ins, sauna before weigh-ins to be sure.).
    • Take the dogs for a long walk and do some stretching in the morning to keep my mind and body busy to manage nerves.
    • Keep up the feel good music.
