  • 8-Week Focus: * 8-Week Focus: Ben Galper Basic Grip Program
    • 4 session x 4 week program will take longer to allow for rest and grappling training.
  • Weekly Objective: Adjust difficulty and develop follow-up training plan.

  • What worked well:
    • To let my elbow recover I only did one hard round, and the other 4 were very moderate and “playful.” This helped my mood, my elbow, and to build creativity – as the focus was to try techniques outside my normal repertoire.
  • What didn’t work well:
    • I didn’t focus on guard passing, which needs to be the focus for my next grappling block.
  • Plan for next time:
    • Open mat training should focus on developing my guard passing.
    • In class, continue to limit myself to the “move(s) of the day.”
